Vaastu is an ancient occult science that plays with the directions and the five basic elements of life ( earth, air, water, fire, and sky). When proper Vaastu practices are carried out, the cosmic energy it releases brings positivity to the surroundings. It is believed that following Vaastu tips while decorating your home will add prosperity and happiness to your life.

Here are some tips to implement Vaastu at your home:

It is recommended to maintain proper ventilation the house and if possible throughout the building. Ventilation plays an important role in bringing positivity to the house.

Keep a water body

According to the science, a water body, like a small fountain or an aquarium if placed in the North-east direction of the house proves to be lucky. If you don’t have the space to keep either of these, a small earthen pot filled with water can be kept with some flower petals to serve as a decoration.

Direction of door is important

The door of the house is considered the gateway to all the happiness and positivity. It is therefore said that it should be constructed either on the North or the East. The South and West directions are to be strictly avoided. Another thing that you should consider is that the doors should open inwards not outwards.

Prefer south-east for kitchen

The Kitchen, more specifically the stove should be in the South-East or the North West corner of the house. The cook should be facing towards East or the North direction.
